Over The Phone Interpreter

Core Responsibilities:
Preparing for Interpretation Sessions
- Set up and ensure all equipment is functioning.
- Test microphones headsets and troubleshoot issues if exists).
- Perform Packet loss tests and log in to required platforms.
- Review materials and familiarize yourself with the session context.
- Accurately interpret spoken language.
- Maintain conversation flow without errors.
- Ensure confidentiality and impartiality.
- Submit reports on completed sessions.
Providing Interpretation During Sessions
Reporting and Feedback
Provide necessary feedback and document issues.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in English with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrate a commitment to delivering superior customer service.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with clients and other interpreters to support team objectives.
- Technical Experience: Familiarity with using phone systems and interpretation software is advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
- 0 to 6 months of proven experience in an interpretation role.
- Experience in a contact center or remote working environment is preferred but not essential.
Working Environment:
- Location: This is a remote position offering flexibility and a comfortable home office setup.
- Working Hours: Flexible shifts to accommodate time zones including options for evening and weekend availability.
