Material Coordinator – Fire Protection
Job Summary
Job Overview
We are seeking an Material Coordinator Fire Protection to plan procure track inspect and deliver materials for fire fighting and fire protection projects. The role coordinates with procurement engineering warehouse suppliers subcontractors and project teams to ensure approved materials meet requirements and support timely installation testing and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate material requirements for fire fighting and fire protection systems throughout the project.
Prepare and monitor procurement schedules trackers expediting reports and delivery plans.
Coordinate with engineering procurement commercial warehouse and project teams on requirements and priorities.
Prepare material requisitions purchase requests purchase orders and procurement documents.
Coordinate with suppliers manufacturers subcontractors and logistics providers on quotations lead times and deliveries.
Follow up on material approvals submittals samples compliance documents and supplier information.
Ensure materials comply with approved specifications project requirements manufacturer recommendations and applicable standards.
Coordinate procurement of fire pumps sprinklers valves hydrants hose reels risers tanks pipework fittings supports extinguishers suppression equipment and accessories.
Monitor availability lead times shipments deliveries and supply chain risks.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors degree higher diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
Relevant experience as a Material Coordinator Procurement Coordinator Materials Controller Logistics Coordinator or similar.
Experience coordinating materials for fire protection fire fighting MEP mechanical construction or building services projects.
Understanding of procurement supplier coordination expediting logistics warehouse control and material management.
Ability to review drawings specifications schedules quantities purchase orders and delivery documents.
Ability to manage priorities meet deadlines and work effectively with project warehouse procurement and site teams.
High accuracy accountability commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
