We are assisting a large infrastructure firm based in the UAE to recruit for a well experienced Contracts and Lead specialist with extensive experience in large projects. The Contracts Team Lead will support the Contracts Manager in overseeing a large portfolio of contracts and managing complex contractual and commercial matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing contracts throughout the contract lifecycle and ensuring contractual obligations are properly administered.
Reviewing and managing claims variations change orders and contractual entitlements.
Assessing EOT delay disruption and other commercial/contractual claims.
Managing contractual notices correspondence supporting documentation and contract records.
Identifying contractual and commercial risks and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
Supporting the administration of EPC project supply and operational contracts.
Reviewing contract performance and addressing issues with contractors consultants and internal stakeholders.
Supporting commercial negotiations claims resolution and dispute avoidance.
Working closely with Projects Procurement/Supply Chain Finance Legal and other internal stakeholders.
Providing technical guidance to the contracts team and supporting the Contracts Manager in maintaining appropriate controls across a high-volume contract portfolio.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:
Extensive Contracts Management experience on large-scale projects.
Strong hands-on experience in claims management variations and EOTs.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts preferably supported by formal FIDIC qualification/certification or training.
Good understanding and practical experience of EPC contracts and contractual risk allocation.
Experience reviewing contractual risks liabilities and commercial exposure.
Exposure to utilities power water energy infrastructure or other major capital projects would be highly advantageous.
Strong negotiation stakeholder management and contractual problem-solving skills.
Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
