Production Engineer – Ambulance & Special-Purpose Vehicles

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to manage and coordinate the manufacturing assembly and conversion of ambulances mobile clinics and other special-purpose vehicles. Reporting to the Production Manager the role will ensure that engineering designs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) are translated into safe efficient and high-quality production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan coordinate and monitor vehicle manufacturing assembly and conversion activities.

• Translate approved drawings specifications and BOQs into production plans and workflows.

• Oversee vehicle body modifications and the integration of mechanical electrical and medical systems.

• Allocate work monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.

• Coordinate with design procurement assembly and quality teams to resolve technical and production issues.

• Ensure materials components and equipment meet approved specifications.

• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.

• Conduct production inspections and maintain accurate technical and progress records.

• Ensure compliance with applicable automotive ambulance quality and occupational safety standards.

• Support testing final inspection and handover of completed vehicles.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Production Mechanical Automotive Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.

• Relevant experience in ambulance automotive commercial vehicle or special-purpose vehicle manufacturing.

• Practical knowledge of vehicle body fabrication assembly electrical integration and mechanical systems.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings technical specifications and BOQs.

• Strong production planning problem-solving and team coordination skills.

• Good understanding of quality control and workplace safety requirements.
