Position: Planning Engineer - Steel Building Construction
Location: Dubai UAE
Employment Type: Full Time
We are hiring a Planning Engineer with strong experience in construction planning and project controls particularly across civil works and structural steel building projects.
The role will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules monitoring progress identifying delays forecasting resources and supporting project teams with timely planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop baseline and detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6
Prepare WBS milestones critical paths and activity sequences
Develop procurement fabrication and construction schedules
Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules
Conduct site visits and verify reported progress
Track critical and near critical activities and identify schedule risks
Plan and monitor structural steel detailing fabrication delivery and erection
Coordinate fabrication and erection schedules with project milestones
Prepare manpower histograms and resource loaded schedules
Forecast manpower equipment and material requirements
Conduct delay analysis and prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIA)
Support EOT delay and disruption claims
Develop recovery and acceleration programs when required
Prepare daily weekly and monthly progress reports
Develop S Curves productivity reports dashboards and management reports
Maintain planning records schedule revisions delay logs and project documentation
Support project closeout handover and as built schedules
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related discipline
6 years experience in construction planning and scheduling
Strong experience in civil and structural steel construction
Experience with industrial facilities warehouses factories or commercial projects is preferred
Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6
Strong understanding of project controls delay analysis TIA EOT and claims support
