We are hiring for a Civil Draftsman to join our client a construction and contracting company in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software along with a solid understanding of civil engineering standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
- Develop site layouts grading plans road profiles utility layouts and structural details.
- Collaborate with civil engineers architects and other team members to collect design specifications and resolve design issues.
- Revise drawings based on feedback and mark-ups from engineers and project managers.
- Ensure drawings comply with local regulations codes and standards.
- Maintain and organize drawing files and related documents in accordance with company standards.
- Conduct site visits when necessary to gather data or verify measurements.
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and bill of materials.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in design software and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Civil Drafting Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a civil draftsman or similar role.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant drafting/design software.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts and construction processes.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
